Body Shape & Weight
When men deposit surplus body fat, they
tend to become 'apple-shaped', put on fat around their middle and develop
a paunch. When women deposit excess body fat, they tend to become 'pear-shaped'.
Under the influence of the female sex hormones, fat tends to get laid
in the hips, thighs and butt. Under the microscope, this fat is exactly
the same as any other fat and it is laid down and can be shifted in exactly
the same way as any other fat. Being advised to use massage or creams
or specific diets is simply incorrect. Any calorie-controlled diet will
cause the fat in the body stores to disappear, wherever it is. And in
men it tends to be in the paunch and in women on the thighs and hips.
