How Fiber Helps Weight Loss

Fiber helps with weight loss by satisfying our hunger so that we're not tempted to eat fatty and sugary foods. Fiber rich foods take longer to chew and when they reach the stomach, they absorb water and these two things help increase the feeling of fullness. (This is why it is important to drink plenty of water when you increase your fiber intake - always have a glass of mineral or tap water with each meal). Fiber is our friend against the two weight-loss enemies: fat and sugar. So if you want to lose weight, eat plenty of fiber. At least 25g a day.
