How to Reduce Sugar Intake in Diet
- Don't add sugar to your tea or coffee.
Sweeteners may be zero-calorie, but since many are 200 times sweeter
than sugar, they only feed your cravings for sweet things.
- Avoid regular soft drinks/sodas. Choose
diet-sodas, or water.
- Reduce your intake of sweet processed
snacks like cookies, candy and cakes - eat fresh fruit instead.
- When buying canned fruit, choose varieties
canned in juice, not syrup.
- Don't add sugar to your breakfast cereal.
- Read food-labels when shopping. Choose
'reduced-sugar' and 'no added sugar' products every time.
