'Pure white and deadly' is how the nutritionist, Professor John Yudkin, has labeled refined sugar. It is a significant factor for so many of us being overweight or obese.

You may think you don't eat a great deal of sugar. But on average we consume around 2 pounds of sugar a week. A hundred years ago that's how much one person would eat in whole year. Can you believe that you eat nearly a hundred pounds of sugar a year? Well, if you don't someone's making up the average by eating more!
