Abdominal Body FatAbdominal fat plays a key role in weight-related health issues. If you are apple-shaped, but within a normal BMI, your risk of getting heart disease increases. If you are at the heavier end of normal-range body mass index - i.e. around 25 - but don't have an apple shape, you probably don't have much of an increased risk. If you are young, though, I suggest that you do try to maintain your BMI around 22 for women and 23 for men, especially if there is a history of heart disease or stroke in your family - this will ensure the highest protection possible against future heart disease. Much more research needs to be done on the subject - but even so, one thing is certain. The fatter you are, the greater your risk of getting a cardiovascular disease. Overweight
and Heart Risk Weight Loss Diet AdviceWeight loss diets should contain balanced eating plans which include all food groups. Because a balanced diet gives you more nutrition. Remember: a well-nourished body loses weight faster. |
