Carbs Without Added Fat are Best For Weight Control

Carbs, such as bread, pasta and rice, are good for you (especially if they are whole-grain variety) and so are starchy root vegetables. These 'complex carbs' can form part of your diet - but go easy on any fat you have with them (dairy sauces, butter, regular mayo, cheese for example). Carbs that come really-loaded with fat, (e.g. pastry, cakes, biscuits) are likely to end up on your belly as fat, so are best avoided.
