High Fat Diets

If you eat a high-fat diet you are probably eating far more calories than you realize. Gram for gram, fat contains over twice the calories of carbs, protein or alcohol. Every gram of fat contains 9 calories, so a teaspoonful contains around 45 calories. And because fat is so 'melty', it slips down our throats almost without us noticing. Think of eating 5 candies out of a box 9 (around 200 calories) compared with 8 Ryvitas (200 calories) or 3 apples (200 calories) one after the other you'll see what I mean!

Bottom line: the more fat in your diet, the easier it is to eat too many calories and therefore gain weight.

Weight Loss Diet Advice

Weight loss diets should contain balanced eating plans which include all food groups. Because a balanced diet gives you more nutrition. Remember: a well-nourished body loses weight faster.
