Crash Diets

These weight loss diets are very low in calories (normally well under 1000 calories a day) and are usually fad diets based on a restricted selection of foods - e.g. fruit or eggs, or cheese or juices, or combinations of 2 or 3 of these.

Weight Loss on Crash Diets

As calorie intake is very low on crash diets, weight loss is inevitable. However, much of this initial weight loss is likely to be fluid loss which is typically quickly regained. Health and weight loss experts worldwide state that in the long term, crash diets don't work because people don't stick to them and/or regain the weight afterwards.

Weight Loss Diets
There's no such thing as a perfect weight loss diet. Almost all weight loss diets help us lose weight and teach us something about healthy weight control. But exercise is an important part of all weight loss programs, so set aside enough time for an aerobic workout.
