What is The Eat Right 4 Your Type Diet

Eat Right for Your Type was written by Peter J. Adamo. His overall idea is that weight loss is best achieved by using our blood type to determine which foods we should be eating.

What You Eat on The Eat Right 4 Your Type Diet

Blood type A people had ancestors that were farmers and should therefore be vegetarian and avoid meat and dairy products. Blood type B had ancestors that were nomads, and should therefore eat red meat and fish. Blood type O had ancestors that were hunters and gatherers and should therefore eat lots of animal protein and little carbohydrates. Blood Type AB, had mixed ancestry and should therefore eat a combination of Types A and B.

How The Eat Right 4 Your Type Diet Helps Weight Loss

According to this diet's theory, when you eat foods that "agree" with your blood type, you lose weight, reduce the risk of cancer, heart disease, diabetes, infections, and liver disease. Some weight loss experts have stated there is little scientific evidence to support the author's theories of diet and weight loss. Many foods are banned, so balancing your diet may be difficult.
