Fruitarian Diets for Weight LossThese can be useful as short-term weight loss diets, but they are not weight loss diets per se. They are simply a type of vegan diet which includes a minimum of processed or cooked foods. It consists mainly of raw fruit (75 percent), fruit-like vegetables (e.g., tomatoes, cucumbers), grains and nuts. Fruitarians eat only plant foods that can be harvested without killing the plant. Fruitarian diets can be followed by meat-eaters as a form of weight loss or detox diet plan but long-term use is not recommended from a nutritional viewpoint.
