Macrobiotic Diets for Weight Loss

Macrobiotic diet plans can be useful as short-term weight loss diets, but they are not weight loss diets per se.

A macrobiotic vegetarian diet is simply a vegetarian diet that excludes all meat, poultry, dairy produce and eggs, but at initial levels may include fish. A macrobiotic vegetarian aims to maintain a balance between foods seen as ying (positive) or yang (negative). The macrobiotic diet progresses through ten levels, and becomes more and more restrictive.

Macrobiotic diets can be followed by meat-eaters as a form of weight loss or detox diet plan but long-term use is not advised from a nutritional viewpoint.

Weight Loss Diets
Almost all diet programs help us lose weight and teach us something about healthy weight loss. There's no such thing as an ideal weight loss diet. But ideally, follow a balanced diet, set realistic weight loss goals and set aside enough time for aerobic exercise.
