What Is The Optifast Program

OPTIFAST® is designed for people who are 50 pounds or more overweight, or have a body mass index (BMI) greater than 30. It is a medically supervised program of fortified liquid replacements, which eventually includes food bars and more regular food. Counseling, lifestyle change and exercise are central to the program.

What You Eat on The Optifast Program

Depending on the amount of weight a dieter needs to lose, he/she is assigned an 800, 950, or 1200-calorie plan. Initially a liquid diet including Optifast own brand dieting soups, nutritional bars, and shakes.
