Written by Dr Irwin Stillman were sold between 1967 and the 80's, this diet book introduced one of the first modern high-protein weight loss diets, after which came Dr Atkins Diet, The Zone Diet etc.

The Doctor's Quick Weight Loss Diet was even more strict, allowing not even vegetables - it was basically meat, poultry, fish, cheese, eggs and water.

Now you are unlikely to find a copy, which may be for the best as any weight loss diet that discouraged vegetables is not a serious diet plan.
