What Is The Rice Diet Program

The Rice Diet is a rapid weight loss diet program with medical supervision developed by Duke University for treatment of diabetes, hypertension and obesity in 1939. It is a low fat, low salt diet for optimal health.

What You Eat on The Rice Diet Program

Phase I of the weight loss diet consists of grains and fruits. This phase requires medical supervision and should not be attempted at home. Phase II incorporates choices of vegetables, beans and other carbohydrates, in addition to grains and fruit. Fish is also served once per week.
