Weight Management & Drugs - General AdviceThe use of drugs to manage weight (i.e. to reduce obesity) should be part of a proper obesity management program. It's worth remembering that effective weight management entails prevention of unwanted weight gain throughout adult life and weight loss where appropriate, with an achievable, time limited, target. For example, a target of 10 kg loss is reasonable, but lesser loss (eg five per cent) should still be regarded as a success over a three month period.
