Weight Gain at Christmas
43% of people in the UK want to lose 14
pounds or more weight in the year 2003, according to a recent weight loss
survey by the British Heart Foundation (BHF). Hardly surprising considering
the average person consumed around 6,000 calories on Christmas day alone
and gained 5 pounds of weight over the festive period.
The weight loss survey revealed that 34%
of people made a New Year's resolution to lose weight but 13% expected
to abandon their attempt to lose weight within a week. Most were familiar
with the yo-yo dieting experience.
