Heart Disease and Overweight Link
Researchers at the Duke University Medical
Center in the USA studied 9,000 heart patients over 12 years and worked
out that, on average, overweight people develop heart disease seven years
earlier than people of normal weight. The average age of normal-weight
people who came to the clinic over these years was 64, while in obese
people it was 57, the researchers revealed in 1999.
Weight Loss Health Advice
Weight loss and health go hand in hand.
The healthier your body, the faster you lose weight. Which is another
good reason to exercise regularly and eat healthily. And it's another
good reason to avoid fad diets or weight loss methods (like weight loss
pills and supplements) that don't help us to develop good eating habits.
