When Does Weight Gain Affect Health?
For most people, maintaining a body mass
index (BMI) around 20-25 offers the greatest protection against weight-related
disorders. Your risk of health problems due to increased weight rises
gradually almost in line with the amount of weight you put on, rather
than exactly how long you have been at a particular weight, though it
is reasonable to suppose that the longer you have been overweight the
more likely it is that you have weight-related problems, even if you keep
your (over)weight stable.
Weight Loss Health Advice
Weight loss and health go hand in hand.
The healthier your body, the faster you lose weight. Which is another
good reason to exercise regularly and eat healthily. And it's another
good reason to avoid fad diets or weight loss methods (like weight loss
pills and supplements) that don't help us to develop good eating habits.
