Caffeine in Diet Supplements
In the USA, caffeine is present in the
over-the-counter diet supplements although the Food and Drug Administration
has stated there is no evidence for its weight loss effectiveness. Caffeine
is widely available in many drinks, including coffee, tea, hot chocolate,
cola and energy drinks. It is also available in various sports supplements
which are sold on the internet.
In general, the use of caffeine supplements
to lose weight or burn fat is not a good option. Indeed, caffeine over-consumption
can have negative health effects.
