The Beverly Hills Diet - Typical MenuBased on what Mazel calls 'conscious combining' (this is not quite the same as the Hay system of food combining), the diet contains a great deal of fruit. There are fruit-only days (e.g. up to 5 pounds of grapes on a grape day is not excessive, says Mazel), vegetable days, and days when you are allowed some starchy carbs or protein (but little else).
