Good Diet Habits Take TimeSome dieters start dieting on Monday, and expect to lose significant amounts of weight by Friday. When their body fails to lose enough weight, they feel frustrated and annoyed. Which is why so many dieters quit their diets and stay overweight. Do you judge your weight loss progress in terms of days? If so, look ahead to where you want to be in (say) three months. If this is too much then try two months. Why? Because lasting weight loss can't happen in days. It takes time to change our daily eating and exercise habits. And unless we change our regular habits, it's almost impossible to avoid regaining the weight we lose. This issue is probably one of the main reasons why "dieting" has such a bad name, and why 90 percent of dieters fail. They simply can't bring themselves to look far enough ahead.
