Complex Carbs & Weight Loss
Calories in a balanced diet should consist
of about 50 per cent complex carbs. Carbohydrates are the body's main
source of energy. Complex carbs or starches are found in grains, fruits
and vegetables and take the body longer to digest than simple carbs. Simple
carbs, known as sugars, are found typically in processed foods like candy,
cakes, cookies and regular soft drinks.
The body needs carbs to function correctly
so be careful if choosing a low carb weight loss diet. If your carb intake
is too low, it may result in lack of energy/concentration and lack of
nutrients.
Weight Loss Advice
Obesity and weight reduction is becoming
a huge health issue. Before buying any weight loss pills or enrolling
for gastrointestinal weight loss surgery, remember that long-term weight
control is based on a healthy balanced diet and regular exercise, no matter
which weight loss option you choose.
