Cravings for Sweet Foods
Got a craving for sweet foods? A slice
of pumpkin or sweet potato pie has more than a day's worth of vitamin
A and, at about 300 calories, it won't cause too much caloric damage.
Other options: oatmeal topped with a little brown sugar and raisins (about
150 calories per cup); instant pudding (about 150 calories per half-cup
serving and zero fat when made with skim milk); pancakes (about 90 calories
for a 4-inch flapjack, 174 for a 6-inch portion) and waffles (about 200
calories each, and less for the reduced-fat variety). Syrup adds calories,
of course.
