Can I Eat More After Exercise?
Yes, but not to any significant degree.
Our metabolic rate increases significantly when we exercise and stays
relatively high for about 30 minutes afterwards. This means we burn calories
faster for about 30 minutes after exercise - but not enough calories to
burn off an extra candy bar or portion of fries. So don't use moderate
exercise as an excuse to significantly boost your calorie intake if you
want to lose weight.
Weight Loss Advice
Obesity and weight reduction is becoming
a huge health issue. Before buying any weight loss pills or enrolling
for gastrointestinal weight loss surgery, remember that long-term weight
control is based on a healthy balanced diet and regular exercise, no matter
which weight loss option you choose.
