Losing Fat or Water Weight
Am I losing fat or water on my diet? Answer:
Both. Weight loss involves losing both fat and water. When glycogen breaks
down to make energy, it also releases water, which is excreted into the
urine.
If you are losing a lot of water weight,
replace it. Drinking water will not make us fat because it is calorie
free, but it is important for the "breakdown" phase of metabolism.
If the body's metabolism is working efficiently then calories will be
burned and energy used more efficiently.
Weight Loss Advice
Obesity and weight reduction is becoming
a huge health issue. Before buying any weight loss pills or enrolling
for gastrointestinal weight loss surgery, remember that long-term weight
control is based on a healthy balanced diet and regular exercise, no matter
which weight loss option you choose.
