Body Position May Affect Weight Loss
Weight Loss Study
An Australian weight loss study of volunteers, which involved ultrasound
stomach scans and follow up interviews after a meal, suggests that people
feel full sooner if they are sitting rather than lying down. In a sitting
position, more of a meal is held in the lower part of the stomach, which
makes one feel fuller and less hungry. A good tip for anyone who wants
to lose weight.
Weight Loss Study - Lose Weight Sitting
Down
The subjects were given a sugar solution with a tracer material to drink,
which was followed for 1.5 hours while it passed into the small intestine.
They were also asked about feelings of fullness or hunger. The results
suggest breakfast in bed is not such a good idea if you plan to avoid
overeating or want to lose weight.
