Weight Loss Dieting Survey
Weight Loss Dieting Survey
Almost half of those who make a New Year's resolution to lose weight stop
trying by the end of January, according to a recent UK weight loss survey.
Two-thirds of women surveyed on behalf of the National Obesity Forum said
that losing excess body fat was their intention in 2003 but far fewer
actually managed a sustained period of healthy eating and exercise.

Weight Loss
The New Year is an ideal occasion to start a program of gradual weight
loss. Most said they had not considered asking their GP for help with
weight loss advice. Only 12 percent of those women surveyed said they
had never tried to lose weight at some point in their lives - 16 percent
said they had tried to lose weight on at least 10 different occasions.
Weight Loss Dieting Survey - UK Obese
One in five adults in the UK is officially obese, and approximately half
of all women are either overweight or obese. It is a leading contributor
to heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure. Weight loss statistics
suggest that people who are obese live on average nine years less.
